Tangidyne  designs and manufactures quartz film thickness sensors and hardware (also called QCM's, or Quartz Crystal Microbalances) for use in vacuum deposition systems (thermal, electron beam, sputtering, MBE, CVD, CIGS, OLED and ALD processes) and liquid monitoring technology.

For over 20 years, we have  provided low prices, high quality and technical support that the other suppliers are not capable of. Founded by Scott Grimshaw, inventor of the long life "Alloy" quartz crystal in 1987, the temperature controlled ThermaHead™ sensor head in 2001,  the thermal shock resistant RC™ quartz crystal in 2002,  and  the transparent film thickness monitor crystal in 2004,  Tangidyne is a world leader in advanced high temperature and liquid immersed film thickness monitor technology.

We can provide you with crystals that can operate up to 500°C (MQ™),  that operate with no shock or frequency shift when exposed to film evaporation (RC™) ,  or that cost half the price of the competitors for your vacuum evaporation (AT). And we do customs. Polished, not so polished, special shapes, special frequencies, special anything. Call us and find out what we can do!
